He was great. I need to see it again because I don't get all the deep, heavyduty praise I've read about the film the past few years since it was found and remastered. Oates had little to do, the two fights were poorly shot and edited, and the music was overwrought.

In the early 80s, this basic plot of two drifters hiding in a vacant house and spying on the sexually frustrated wife next door was lifted for the pornographic film Talk Dirty To Me with John Leslie, Richard Pacheco and Jesse St. James. In this version, the two were not psychopathic criminals, just drifters.
