Why was the maid in Neverland?

The subject line pretty much explains my question but the maid Liza, just appears out of nowhere towards the end and appears on the pirate ship and then does the crowing number with Peter. How the heck did she get to Neverland? What was she doing there?

In the original 1955 version, Liza was played by Mary Martin's daughter, Heller Halliday. Maybe she just wanted her daughter to have her own scene and they just decided to keep the scene in the 1960 version? Just a guess.

The maid, Liza, is given some fairy dust by Michael just as he flies out the window, but we only see her twirl around a bit going off-camera as the shot follows Michael out the window. Then, around the 48:34 mark, we see that Liza has followed them to Neverland (she dances a small ballet with the trees and animals), but then we don't see her again until the crowing number with Peter.
