Watched the last 15 minutes...

And I have to say, it was quite disturbing. I watched it from where just before Helen goes into Mark's bedroom (?) where all his cameras where and one of his films was playing.
I had heard if this movie from "Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments," and I thought it looked interesting.
I'm a fan of classic movies, especially classic horror and I wanted to see it, but I wanted to wait until it was on TV (rather than pay for a DVD that I might not enjoy.)
So, yeah, I enjoyed it, it creeped me out; quite possibly one of the most disturbing movies I've ever seen - and I only caught the ending. Honestly, the things I was imagining in my head...
The Bravo TV show gave the general gist of the plot, so I understood it, and just the idea is very unsettling to me.
I can't wait to watch the rest. :)

It isn't really particularly scary so doesn't need to be classified as a horror film. But it is disturbing. It's even more disturbing if you watch the whole film.

The film makes it clear what Mark is doing and you want to condemn what he's doing, but he's a sympathetic character. You also want to condemn him for being a Peeping Tom (never mind the other things he does) but then you realise that you're watching him watching the other people, so are you doing what you condemn him for?

I don't feel that way at all. I'm just watching a rather creepy movie, don't believe that necessarily makes me a creep. The film is very odd for sure, but interesting. I loved The Red Shoes, another Michael Powell fil, thought it was brilliant.

Rather than an evil villain, he came across to me as a really troubled, disturbed character. Carl Boehm gives a terrific performance IMO.🐭
