What did Segura give to Wormold at the airport?

Does anyone know? They looked like little canisters, maybe film, but I couldn't tell. Since it was never mentioned again, it probably isn't important. Any guesses out there?

Seguraa gave Wormold the two expended cartridges from Segura's .45 automatic pistol which Wormwold had used against Carter.

IN THE BOOK SEGURA GIVES WORMOLD one SPENT BULLET AND AN ENGRAVED HORSESHOE FOR MILLY. BUT I GUESS I'M JUST INTERFERING AS YOUR QUESTION WAS ABOUT THE FILM. STILL, MAYBE IT'S OF SOME USE....

reply

Thanks so much for your reply...not interfering at all.

With the bullet he gave Wormold also a miniature bottle of Grant's Standfast whisky.

Rome. By all means, Rome.

I recognized them as spent shell casings, but question where Segura got them. His pistol was an automatic which ejects the shell casings, so if anyone would have them it would logically be Wormold. Segura could have only given Wormold two other casings that were symbolic of the two fired rounds.

Seeing as Segura is pretty much running the police, seems reasonable he would have access to evidence collected at the scene of a murder, such as spent shell casings.

Figured his men picked them up at the site of the shooting since Wormold wouldn't have stuck around to find them in the dark. Great little piece there. Kovacks is so perfect he looks like the type who would do just that.
