I felt so bad for her...I think all women w/ stength can indentify w/ her trials & tribulations. What doesnt kill us, only makes us stronger. Finally! A great japanese film w/ a good ending. One thing the japanese do not know how to do and that is END A FILM, smh

You might try A Colt Is My Passport. It's a really good noir meets spaghetti western sort of movie, and I'd say the ending works well.
