Not that all the serious JW films were good, but the light fare like NTA don't resonate with me.
Like McLintock ! Sure it's kinda fun the first time you see it, but it's eventually it's just a comedy that I have no investment in.
I can watch it and enjoy the set pieces, (being drunk on the stairs), but by the end, my emotions aren't moved.
Just me, YMMV.
And that's how I rate North To Alaska. It's fine, but not worth recommending.
I suppose Ernie Kovacs is one reason to recommend it. He's someone who deserves to be remembered.
