Best Hindi Picture of all time?

Is it the Best hindi film of all time.

I have to say, Yes. Considering the performances, direction, dialogues, script, visual appeal and sheer magnitude make it the Greatest Hindi Film ever.

What say?

My personal favorite Indian film is "Lamhe", but agreed that "Mughal-E-Azam" is the grandest of the grand, a true masterpiece that can never be recreated. As great as Dilip Kumar and Prithviraj Kapoor were, MeA is Madhubala's film- she is its soul, its heart, its hero. When I think of MeA I always think of her mournful visage at dawn when the bells toll the end of her affair with Salim. **chills**

Yes, i loved it.... though it is of a purane generation, a timeless classic it nevertheless should be a film this industry keeps close to its heart forever, it will inspire truly inspire!

I dont think Lamhe was a classic far from it being greatest. Mughal e azam must be one of the best. Do Bigha Zameen, Mother India and Sholay(definately most entertaining ever). IF u look at non-hindi movies there are too many to mention. But hard to name one out of 1000's of movies released in last 75 years.

Yes, this has to be the best Indian film, considering it was well done during its time. I personally think that it would be an insult to do a remake of this film, mainly because this film is such a masterpiece in itself.
