I'm assuming you're referring to Lata Mangeshkar's song in this movie, "Jab Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya", when Akbar (Prithviraj Kapoor) is first pleased to see Anarkali's (Madhubala) dance, then realizes the meaning behind what she is singing.

The full song begins with I believe Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, then Lata. These are the lyrics (along with a rough translation).

Why place a curtain/veil upon the servants?

^ ['Parda' here refers to a 'prevention' of abilities, not a hijab or niqab; in this case, restrictions in the lives of courtesans. How I understand these lines, she's saying that if God is not preventing the royals or the common folk from doing anything, specifically who they can fall in love with, why do the servants have this restriction on them? Courtesans in the Mughal empire were definitely not supposed to marry into the royal family]

The qawwali from Mughal-e Azam, "Teri Mehfil Mein Qismat Aazmakar Ham Bhi Dekhenge" [We Will Test Our Fate In Your Presence] by Shamshad Begum & Lata Mangeshkar, is another classic, but it's a little harder to translate.
