This film has a memorable score

The musical score to "The Mountain Road," composed by Jerome Moross and conducted by Morris Stoloff, is a memorable one, and at times seems more fitting for a much "bigger" film. The main theme in particular, repeated throughout the film, is somewhat reminiscent of Moross's soaring score for the western epic "The Big Country."

I found it to be frequently over the top and too perky.
