As this was nominated for awards I can only think that time has been very unkind to this film. Apart from some terrible over acting especially from Harvey and Harris they also both couldn't decide where they came from as their accents were all over the place. Also their motivations and personality seemed to change from one scene to the next. When they weren't shouting ridicously at each other they were a few good scenes but mostly this was very poorly done.

It's a pity, because it has the ingredients of a fine film - but I agree that the shonky accents and some pretty stagy acting do spoil it. For a while there, I was thinking it could have been an alternative '12 Angry Men' but it never reaches, or at least certainly can't maintain the heights of quality and tension that the other reaches. 12 Angry Men also shrugs off it's theatrical roots much better than this is able to.
I wonder if this is one case where I'd actually support a remake being done?
