Wow, I could use a billion dollars...

I liked the part in the opening introduction where a narrator is heard discussing all the rich ancestors of the character played by Yves Montand (Jean-Marc Clement). One of his recent ancestors died, leaving a fortune valued at a billion dollars. The narrator explained it to the viewer kind of like this: "For those of you who have no idea what a billion dollars amounts to, the interest on the interest is seventy thousand dollars a week". Prompting me to realize that, if I only had a billion dollars of my own, I could solve all my problems. Ah, one can only dream...

A billion dollars could last multiple lifetimes, lol!
Yeah, the beginning wasn't all that great but when he saw her for the first time and that flirty grin on his face (), that was goooooodddddd!!!!!

Yeah, a billion dollars would be nice, right about now. I could even buy, say, half a tank of gas with it!! LOL

Wow, I did the math and this is in fact TRUE if you assume 6% annual interest.

Hmm. I would take 1%. I'm not choosy.

Savings accounts paid 6% when I was a kid and had my first account about 25-30 years ago.

Apparently, unlike most of others I like that beginning too. But I felt that the movie lost itself and somewhere toward the end the general feeling was "let's just end this!"

A billion dollars was a lot of money in 1960.
