Tough film to get hold of in VHS or DVD!

This film was actually the last film I ever watched as a kid in the movies. After that it was all tv, vhs and now dvd for me. In 1961 I was 12 years old and I had had it with movie theatres forever. Too much racket, distractions, spills, etc. for me. In the Guards in 1970 and 1971 I watched a few films in theatres on base but the last two I saw were Sabata (Lee van Cleef) and Patton (George C. Scott). I though Ashefault had found this film for me but when I opened it it was the 1946 Sabu version instead. Anyone know where I can find this flick? Last time it was on tv was in 1975 on a Ted Turner station (TBS maybe?) and I ain't seen it since. Any help greatly appreciated, man. Sayonara for now and toodles-K&K

There was a VHS relaese a while ago, but it seems to be out of print. "Unofficial" copies are available on eBay, though.

I too only caught this SR movie on VHS in the 90s when I rented it from a video store. Enchanting movie I thought. Loved the handsome "Karim"! I am sure it will come out on DVD now that some of SR's movies are out in this format.

that are in pretty good shape.i have one.picture is very good.(vhs)
price is around 14.00 to 18.00 dollars.mine was 12.50 plus shipping.
so look around and don't give up.also got a top notch copy of 'morgan
the pirate'.i think these are 2 of best reeves films.they have a
double feature out called goliath features on dvd with 'goliath and
the barbarians' with steve reeves and 'goliath and vampires'gordon scott.

bad copies being sold.DO NOT BUY ANY VHS MADE BY GOODTIMES VIDEO.
they make worse copies.best look for a dvd copy.bought a great
copy of morgan the pirate on ebay have seen copies of thief of bagdad

say original video store copy with stickers on it still get it.worst problem
is color is faded on a lot of these copies.

most dvd copies are terrible copied from an italian print.but i got
a store one by embassy pictures that is perfect its the same one
u would of rented when it came out.picture is clear and crisp and
colors stand out.so when looking go for a vhs copy that is a embassy
pictures release on cover or u will just get an old faded copy.got
it on ebay and was lucky dont see many.i also got a perfect copy of
morgan the pirate which i treasure also.both are great copies.wish
i could find a duel of titans one but so far all are crappy.i ve
tried buying 3 but forget it.it too came out on vhs at video stores
and unless u find one which is a video store print forget it.its
hard to find video store copies.one company to stay away from is
'good times video' all the're videos are terrible.they copy everything
on EP speed.

Like everyone else I saw this as a child and it stuck with me and I had trouble finding this movie as an adult. Until last night when I found it on YouTube! You can currently find it here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6B2445EB3F50D4B0
