Quite a Surprise, really!

Watched this again on Christmas Night, for perhaps the second time in ten years. I had initially just wanted to put on something that my aged mother could enjoy, and this seemed like an appropriate film for the occasion.

I have never been a fan of either Sophia Loren, nor of Clark Gable, for that matter, but after the first ten minutes or so, I was hooked!

I hadn't realized how sexy and talented Sophia was, and how well Gable could play tongue-in-cheek comedy.

It was quite a surprise to read on IMdB how much they detested each other, as that fact never once seemed to come through in the story.

I shall put this one on my films to watch annually from now on! ^-^

Just a small question in passing. Can anyone identify the two main cars in it? The small one was a Citroen 2CV style of thing, with two doors and an open top - possibly a baby Fiat, I would assume, and the larger one looked like a 1930s vintage Alfa-Romeo, but I am only guessing.

Anyone able to help me out?

Thanks to all.

According to the Internet Movie Car Database, the tiny car into which Gable and his lawyer squeeze in indeed a Fiat: a 1936 500 A.

IMCDB has a frame grab of the open cabriolet, but it isn't identified. One user commented that it appears to be a Bianchi, ca 1931-32. Comparing it to images of other Bianchis from that era, it looks like a good guess.
