Does anyone know what happened to Otto' after he was driven away?
I enjoyed this film so much and it loses nothing through time but I would love to know what happened to the true characters and if the German soldier was treated fairly.
Well, we know that he is not being arrested as an enemy spy, so he is not going to be executed. Instead, he is being taken in as a POW, so he'll either go to a prison camp, or he'll be traded for an Allied POW.
I must say that I am not a military historian, so I'm just conjecturing based on the logic of the information the film gives us.
