What did Rafe mean....(potential spoiler)

when Hannah said at the end of the film (graveyard scene): "He had two fine sons, didn't he?" and then Rafe said "Not till today, he didn't." Was Rafe referring to the fact that he was finally acknowledged as a son that day? I was watching with my daughter and we were both perplexed when the "bad" music started playing when Rafe saw the headstone inscription. We thought Rafe would be happy.

He meant that he wasn't acknowledged as his son until his name was listed on the tombstone.

His father never acknowledged him in his life.

I thought the "bad" music was ill-placed also.

I thought he looked pissed off, then shook it off

You don't have to stand tall, but you do have to stand up!

I guess he was still upset Wade never did admit he was his son. Ironically, Hannah put it on his marker for the world to see.
