I found one that seemed right, and it looks like YT removed it. Maybe next time.

I don't know if this is the answer you wanted, but it is available on the DVD of Cash McCall, which I got in a Natalie Woods box set.

Re: Where to find "High Note"?

You can find it on a 3 disc DVD set entitled "Warner Brothers Home Entertainment Academy Awards Animation Collection - 15 Winners, 26 Nominees". Buy it on Amazon or eBay.

Don't get the single disc version of this DVD title, because, as a non-winner (AA nominee-only), "High Note" is not included on the single disc release.

I was told this cartoon was never shown on broadcast TV (local or network), because the leading character was intoxicated.

The cartoon became widely available when it was released on VHS in the 1980s. I suppose it might be shown on cable, too. (I don't get Boomerang or Cartoon Network.)

I first saw "High Note" at a circa 1975 cartoon festival hosted by Chuck Jones at the AFI (16mm prints) in Washington DC. Later that year, I was able to find it for rent from exactly ONE 16mm non-theatrical film rental house (a choppy print, but good color). In fact, Chuck Jones asked ME where it could be found, because his print was without credits. WOW!

Of course, home video changed all that...
