I have just watched Flaming Star from the DVD Boxed Set ELVIS PRESLEY COLLECTION, and thought the ending was a bit abrupt. My mum claims that this ending was cut, as when she first saw it on the cinema, she said that when Elvis rides into the mountains to die, you see ghost-like image of him floating up into the sky, smiling beatifically as he sings Flaming Star one last time.
Can anybody else recall this ending?

I seem to recall a different ending to that film?
In the ending I remember, after Elvis dies, there's an extra scene where Barbara Eden is wearing a suit with fishnets, and looking very disheveled. Then there's a point of view shot from outside her window, the sound of heavy breathing, likely from an overweight, middle aged man with too many perverse sexual lusts, and then the scene cuts to black, a blood curdling scream sounding a few seconds later.
Does that sound familiar to anyone else?
