Barak Ben Canaan
Was it only me who thought of this character name "Barak Ben Canaan" when Barach Obama came into the limelight? Wonder if he was named Barak for the same reason (as Deborah's general-Old Testament)as Ari's father in the movie?

The Semitic languages do have a glottal stop, but you will also hear it every day in London and other parts of the UK. There, words like bottle (and glottal!) don't have a 't' sound in the middle, but a sort of quick pause made by temporarily closing the throat. It is usually represented by an apostrophe, so that the name Aaron should really be spelt A'aron. The sound represented by Ch or Kh is quite different, and sounds like a heavy 'h'. It is present in German and Spanish, and is also used by Scots in words like 'loch'.
Otherwise, you are correct.
You hear a glottal stop in American English also: As my instruction in bhasa Indonesia pointed out, it is right in the middle of the expression 'Oh-oh'.
