I like how he's playing almost exactly the same role in both this and "Lawrence of Arabia." Filmmakers: "So, who do we get for the newspaperman?" "Arthur Kennedy, of course!"

After multiple viewings of both films, it never ceases to amuse me how similar his roles are in both films, and the importance of that role.
