I kind of like it despite despite the length and some scenes!

Especially the Ekberg scenes in the Rome's water fountains, the scene in the mysterious big house and the Italian media creating a frenzy over some miracle. And Marcelo Mastroani quite good in the role of the cynical reporter. Also interesting his friendship with the Jewish friend Stein, I think a survivor from Hitler's death camps, who reads too much philosophy and plays Bach, but also ends up killing himself and his kids. At least Italians try to give a cynical humor, for laugh, to this movie of human condition. At least it can be entertaining, despite its length. I didn't like much the "party scene", however. If some people didn't like it, I can understand. The message? We humans are really ridiculous besides being so pathetic. But is better than many of Bergman's movies. Those are really dreadful [except "The Seventh Seals"].
