It's a sad day. :( But as a Swede, I'm proud to be from the same country as her. The Swedish newspapers have written a lot about it today.

Yes, I am very sorry to hear she died. She was not a consistently effective actress, but her role in this film was the very embodiment of the iconic. It is a shame she seems to have exhausted her financial resources toward the end. I wonder how often that is true for former stars.

In any event, I would like to see some other of her performances, but La Dolce Vita is a great film that would not be so without her presence.
