Did anyone notice?

When Troy Donahue was talking to Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. in the cafeteria, the song playing in the background was "Theme From A Summer Place."

reply

Yes I just watched this movie today and I was just getting ready to post something about them playing "A Summer Place" in the background of that one scene but I see you already noticed it!

They also used the melody of "Secret Love" from Calamity Jane and the theme from one of Bette Davis' 40's dramas. All, of course, were owned by the Warner Bros. music dept.

reply

The tune from the Bette Davis movie is called "Wrong" and it comes from "Now Voyager."

I recognized the music but couldn't tell what it was. I've seen A Summer Place but I didn't even associate it with Troy Donahue. Maybe if I was a fan I would have figured it out but I'm not. I have yet to see one of his movies that I actually like. I only discovered what the song was afterwards.
