ever notice in all these movies, Scott always befriends and chats up the hot sexy young guys. If they're a baddie, he even tries to reform them and offers to let them ride with him. Oh well, his wife has usually been killed in these movies and I guess a piece of ass is a piece of ass!
shareRandolph Scott wasn't gay. He just happened to share an apartment with somebody who was bi or gay. Young men normally didn't live alone in the 1930s if they were not married. There is nothing in the man's life to suggest he was gay or had male partners he was married to the same woman until death.

shareMaybe in your world every single thing revolves around sex, thankfully that is not true of everyone's world, but I believe other considerations entered into the picture. Scott was probably considered pretty elderly in 1959, having been around so long, and producers probably wanted to add younger characters into the mix to boost box office.
