alabama hills

i've seen a ton of westerns filmed in the alabama hills, most notably due to producers and directors on studio budgets...in the 30's and 40's guys like harry sherman, paul malvern, and robert bradbury could take studio production crews on location for a year and crank out a high quality western a month...i've seen plenty of footage that showed up in more than a few films, especially stunt work...anyway, it was a great place to make westerns
