Jazzy soundtrack was certainly interesting

Although it didn't do a lot to ramp up tension. But it was very Johnny Staccato!

Yes! John Cassavetes as the PI working out of a Jazz Club run by a male gypsy with an earring!
I loved that series as Cassavetes gave the character real depth.

Thanks for reviving that memory !!!

GetTV is airing Johnny Staccato currently. I had never seen the series but watching it, I gotta say:

"It's a gas" 😀

We know now that Cassavetes only did it to finance his directing career. But despite himself he put all his heart into the part and lifted the series way above the dreck that was on at the same time.

The smoking in the that series is prodigious. In one episode, Johnny is searching some guy's apartment for clues, and he has a lit cigarette in his hand! Haha!
