A delight but no Gigi!

A delightful film with classic songs from Cole Porter but with a weak storyline. It seemed to try to be Foxs'answer to MGMs' Gigi but never was a hit. Shirley was terrific as usual but even she could not fill-in for a weak script. The choreography, cinematography and location were also stunning. An enjoyable musical with a superb cast. The duet with Chevalier and Jourdan reminds fans of Gigi as well. Well-worth watching.
