Forward and backward in time

Nice he was able to go back in time to where he started. You'd think he might have gone forward again. I guess it's because he pointed the jet in the opposite direction.

reply

Yeah, but how did he reverse the spin on the earth, the direction of the earth's orbit around the sun, and the orbit of the sun in the galaxy, all of which cumulatively were close to the speed of light, and all of which helped propel the ship to the velocity needed to break the time barrier into the future???

reply

Excellent point. In the case of this movie, all it took was pointing the plane one way (for the future) and the other way (for the past).

I think the escaped mutants did some upgrades to the plane while it was parked at the abandoned air base. When it took off in the present, it was an F-102 Delta Dagger. Later (64 years later), when it took off in the future, it had been upgraded to an F-106 Delta Dart!

reply

LoL, good one!!! Never underestimate mutant tech!

And luckily he was able to find some fresh jet fuel and whatever his rockets were made of. Turbines don't work at those altitudes you know.
