A good movie!

I remember when it first came out. Duane Eddy was one of my favorite recording stars and this movie give a chance to see him when he was very young. He sure can play that guitar.

Unfortunately we just recently lost Mr. Clark but hopefully tv will show this movie again. Mr. Clark does a good job in this movie even though it is really almost an extention of himself. TCM has shown it in the past and hopefully will show it again.

Yes, my husband and I caught it tonight on TCM as part of a Tuesday Weld film fest.
This was quite a good film and Dick Clark did a really nice job, very natural and believable. (Neither one of us knew that Dick Clark was ever an actor). The whole cast was very good and quite fetching - all of them.

It is always surprising in a way to find out that, "the more things change, the more they stay the same". Actually, the teens in this film were as wild and out of control as anything we have today, or close anyway.

The story was melodramatic and we couldn't really ascertain what Tuesday Weld was so upset about. But the melodrama was fun too. This was a really fun retro evening for my hubby, who grew up in the 50's and 60's, and for me!
