RIP Charles Delaney (Harry Bayliss in this Film)

He played Harry the agent in this film.

OK he died in 1959 before this film was even released but he was one cool old cat. He added a quaint touch of class to this D-Grade picture and he had a really wonderfull career going all the way back to his first silent film in 1913.

A class act all the way around.

I salute you, Sir, and though you may be gone from us these 50 years, you are still, at least in some small way (through the wonders of MST3K and Youtube), remembered.

I actually watched most of The Beatnicks last night, rather liked Mr. Delaney's sincere performance as Mr. Bayliss, out of sync with most of the others in the film but I guess that was intentional.

He had kind of an Edward G Robinson vibe.

Most of the cast seem to be dead now, apart from Tony Travis (Eddy).
