I don't know, I'm a Liz fan, I love old hollywood but so many of the movies are an absolute soporific bore, like this one. Is it me? Or was this a bore in theaters back then too?=

It was a painful bore then, and MSTable now.

Really? I cannot imagine sitting in a darkened theater watching this and staying awake.

OK - I'm glad someone else said it! I'm watching it now (recorded from TCM) and yes, it is a real snoozefest. Liz is gorgeous in this, but she was right - this wasn't the film she should have won for (felt more like a makeup award).
