Classic midnight movie

Anyone ever seen this on the big screen? I doubt many of us here are old enough to see it when it originally came out, well in 1959 I can't imagine many theatres booking it. Maybe some drive-ins, but anyone ever seen it as part of a retrospective? If so, does the big screen do it justice?
