who is that guy who fights with Wayne, the scene with the feather, and he's saying 36 times, and they're saying 39 times, WHO IS THAT?

This is really funny to me. I was just watching Paladin, the episode "Taylor's Woman". And Kathy Brown had a brother in it. When he SPOKE, I instantly recognized the voice as the guy I'm looking for!! It's Tom Hennesy!

***Tom Hennesy began his movie and TV career as a Stuntman and Actor, while he was in college and playing football at USC. Hennesy played the title role in the classic Universal horror film "Revenge Of The Creature" (the sequel to the Creature From The Black Lagoon). Hennesy acted and performed stunts in numerous John Wayne and John Ford films. Hennesy was the stunt double for many stars, including Rock Hudson, Randolph Scott, Rod Cameron, Jeff Chandler, and more.

Hennesy also worked as a General Secondary, as well as Elementary School Teacher in many Hollywood studios. His celebrity students included, among others, Natalie Wood, Annette Funicello, Paul Anka, Sal Mineo, Tim Considine, Molly Bee, Tommy Rettig, and Lauren Chapin.***

Interesting!! he lived to be 87! and he was 6 ft. 5!

I'm glad you were able to get a solution to your question, even if you had to get it yourself! Of course you indirectly had assistance from the Alamo, with Richard Boone - Paladin - (& Sam Houston) helping you out.

I wonder if Hennesy is the stand-in/stuntman for Wayne in the fight in the street (when Bowie helps him out). You can clearly see it's not Wayne taking those punches, but another big guy.

Being a school teacher myself I also found it rather interesting that he was a studio teacher to the stars.

Sounds like he really took advantage of some niche opportunities for himself over his employment career.

Thanks for your interesting post.

Thanks, and yes, I bet that IS him taking those punches. Noticed that Encore started showing that ad again. I make my 15 year old niece watch it and she laughed her butt off! Just finished Hal Needham's book, Stuntman, wish more of those guys would write one!! I'm sure they have some GREAT stories. Love watching Hal on HGWT! Take care, spooky!
