The Mud Nest

I have a real soft spot for this episode. For one, it's the episode that deals most with Buz's pain about being abandoned as a baby - something that gets hinted around in other episodes but thrown right out there in this one.

Also, it's filmed in the Baltimore I grew up in - places I remember vividly but have changed now.

And third, that big neon "God Is Love" sign that the boys walk under as they leave the strip joint - those signs were my grandfather's business. I never knew him, but I knew him by his signs - one is still up on the church I grew up in. So, if I want to revisit my grandfather and my hometown, (since I don't live in Baltimore anymore), I watch The Mud Nest.
