Is this a scene from this series?

There is a movie or TV series I saw in the early 1960s that opened with a scene of a car stopped at a railroad crossing. The signal bells are clanging as a train is rapidly approaching.

The driver gets out of the car and pulls a man's body (or maybe he is unconscious) from the back seat and drags it onto the tracks. The impression I got was that the driver was a killer trying to make a murder look like an accident, set up so that people would think the victim died by being hit by a train. The driver makes it back into the car just before the train comes into view, before anyone could witness his actions.

I thought this might have come from a Perry Mason episode since it was on the air around the same time. I asked at the PM board and nobody recognized it. So with a little research into network schedules I found The Roaring 20's. I don't really remember this series, but its description mentions gangsters, so maybe the scene I caught had something to do with a hit man.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

EDIT (update): It's not from The Untouchables, either.
