Most beloved/maligned episodes?

I've become a little bit of a fan of this show, as it has some well-done (and sometimes laugh out loud funny) old-fashioned comedy, and a great arrange of characters. I like not only Steve and Bub, but Mike as well. He really grew on me, and Coinsidine portrays his role with a perfect balance of sublety and energy. The episode I've liked the most so far is Second Time Around. I wish Patricia Barry had gotten more than 2 episodes.

That said, I don't have any real idea what people's preference are for episodes. Which ones would you recommend the most that I check out, as well as what are the episodes tend to be the least favorites? The Croaker has a pretty low rating, but I actually liked that one. It was a bit silly sure, but I enjoyed how Bub took care of the frog.

While I love the entire show my favorite parts was when Steve was loving and affectionate with his sons. The serious moments when he showed his soft side.

The easiest thing i have ever had to do was give my heart.

The episode where Dodie needs to get somebody to play a tree in her school play and everybody else in the family is unable to because of other commitments and Steve asks "Would I make a good tree?" then Dodie hugged him, such a touching scene.

I loved when Katie comforted Ernie in "The Tire Thief" and told him she would take care of the problem. Ernie cried and I did too. I would have loved that level of compassion and understanding when I was a kid.

Too numerous to mention. I just watched one this morning entitled Chip's Composition ( season 2 , episode 9 ) and it was most excellent. I highly recommend it. One of the many outstanding episodes of this great series.

I believe you can watch it on Dailymotion
