A Step Too Slow: Bill, a high school basketball player, is cut from the team and collapses into self pity. After several meaningful experiences with other people, he realizes how fortunate he really is and how small his own problems are. He expresses his newfound joy in a song. A Slight Drinking Problem: A woman whose husband is an alcoholic realizes, with the help of Al Anon, that he is the only one who can help himself. So that he may discover the truth about himself, she allows him the freedom to hit bottom.
