Lay Barnie Lay

In one episode, Barney causes a lot of commotion in town by re-opening a 19-year-old case in which Floyd The Barber and the local grocer where arrested for assault. Floyd The Barber remarks to Andy "I think the problem with Barney is that he's not married. If he was married, little things like this wouldn't bother him".

I think it's safe to say that Andy, Floyd and Barney are from a generation that did not believe in premarital sex. Therefore I suspect that when Floyd says little things wouldn't bother Barney if he was married, that's an old-timer's way of saying "that dude needs to get laid"

He should call Juanita. I bet she'd do the trick!

No Juanita would not. He called her to prove something to Andy about how he felt money to take a date out isn't important. Barney called told her that he would pick her up take her forxa ride to the lake then go back to her place & watch TV etc. She hung up & hetried to save face by gelling Andy there was a disconnect. Andy calls her back much to Batney's chagrin. Sge hangs up on Andy. Andy laughs and says,"You are right. Money doesn't mean anything except to Juanita."
Lets face it Barney, as well as Goober, were tightwads...esp. Barney. Why Thelma Lou stuck with him is way beyond me.
