Andy throwing people out of town

I've noticed in some episodes where Sheriff Taylor throws people out of town. What would've happened if they had stayed in town? Trespassing or loitering charges?

Well, technically a person cannot be thrown out of a town but if the person does not have residence nor a means of support back then they could be arrested for vagrancy.

Years, ago I knew of a woman that was removed by the sheriff dept from their county. They explained to her that her mother did not want her back in her home and if she came back she would be arrested for anything and everything as they would have zero tolerance for her actions/behaviour.

Wow, that's seriously f'd up. Her mom doesn't want her back in the house so she has to leave the county? How freakin' big was mom's house?

Ahh the good old days of Law and Order! Back in those days you could be told to leave the town/county and if you returned you could be locked up for loitering or trespassing depending on the circumstances.
