It was good to post. It was even better to see what everybody else had to say and to sometimes get into very good conversations.

Here is a link to a petition to keep the IMDB message boards open. It might not work, but it can't hurt to try:

This is very sad news. Going to miss this and other boards. Made it clickable.

We need to find a new place or make one ourselves haha. See you all somewhere else. But SOMEWHERE!

I'm going to miss this board!!

Gonna miss this! I loved talking to people who loved and respected all the old classic shows. Not everyone does. But at least here you could talk to fans of the shows and keep their memory alive.

So disappointing. I'll miss all the posters and the insights shared. Hope there will be a new place to gather! I don't use Facebook or any other social media.😖

I'm really bummed about it. I'm gonna miss this board and talking to you wonderful people. Jerks have to ruin everything. Such a shame for the rest of us.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the many conversations on this and many other IMDB TV series boards over the years.

Virtually everyone who has disagreed with any of my opinions has treated me politely and respectfully, even when pointing out factual mistakes I have made. That has been one of the big pluses here. I will miss these "conversations" very much.

Why don't we just shoot 'em down and be through with it?

reply

It's too bad that all of the negative posts from mean spirited people ruined it for everyone else. At least that's what I surmised from the statement from the IMDB folks.

reply

I think most of the negative posts came in the political boards, which I never visit.
All IMDB had to do was delete those boards and keep the TV shows & film boards, which is the core of the site anyway.
