I have a friend who tried watching the 'MST3K' episode but couldn't.

She doesn't have anything against "MST3K." The thing she told me that she can't get past is Prince of Space's outfit. And yes, it is extremely corny - we even said that it would make a hilarious Halloween costume if anyone had the commitment to making one - but she just can't get past that. I've been telling her that she has to, though, because she's missing out on one of the funniest episodes I've ever seen.

Anyway, just thought I'd share. This is one of my favorite "MST3K" episodes, and I highly recommend it to any other fans out there.

Even with the riffing I couldn't get through it in one sitting. It's that bad of a movie.

It's a bad movie, yes. A terrible movie, to be honest. But the riffs in this one are absolutely classic.

I just finished it and MST3K is the only reason to watch this otherwise utterly unwatchable mess. Mike and the 'bots had me in stitches throughout.
I still need to see their take on "Manos the Hands of Fate".

Manos is outstandingly more painful than Prince of Space, as unbelievable as that may be. Still, an excellent episode of MST3K

Thank you! I wanted to put "stupid" instead of "magic" but it wouldn't fit. I love this name though.

I agree. While it is a great "MST3K" line, I think use of the word "magic" fits better.

Ha! I'm just glad so many people get the reference.

By the way, do you remember an episode where they riffed one called "The Time Walker" about a mummy? There's a scene where something is glowing - I believe a sarcophagus - and Joel chimes in, "Trumpy, you can do magic things!"

I never saw "The Screaming Skull." I hope to some day see every single episode.

Oh, and by the way, thank you! I'm glad you liked my IMDB username. I wanted to take something from "MST3K" for it, and that kind of stuck out. I was thinking of incorporating "Cröe" into it (Crow's "new name" in the "Hamlet" episode), but it would be a pain in the ass to try to find the "O" with an umlaut on it each time I want to log in.

...I'm a little surprised they didn't have him as a recurring character, like they did with Torgo and two of the Mole People. They certainly made plenty of references to him. The same goes for Rommel, from "Sidehackers."

Just got done watching the MST3K episode. What a horrific movie, why were they only taking over Japan? What the hell did they need the scientists for? What purpose did the kids serve? Why the hell did they go into that abandoned building, there was no point to any of it, you can make a monster with a fat japanese woman wearing a terrible mask, what was in that bag? YES WE KNOW THE GUNS DON'T WORK ON YOU, chafe chafe chafe chafe, what? huh?

Exactly. All the makings of a great "MST3K" episode. You don't have to make sense of the movie; Mike and the 'bots don't make sense of it either. They just make FUN of it.

I can't stop watching the MST3 Version. I like it very much.

In a way its sad that this film is in the bottom 100 as it is very entertaining and funny as heck with MST3K riffing it.
