Official DVD-Release.

I have it on good authority,it will come out sometime in August.
Great news-great movie.

reply

Just received notification from classicflix.com that the date will be August 4th, and that the first 300 copies ordered will be autographed by Clint Walker.

reply

I received my autographed copy from Warners a few days ago.
The picture looks fabulous-- Clint is everything we expect of him;--
and it's great to see Edd Byrnes, and the not-seen-enough Rhodes Reason!

reply

Hooray!!! I've been waiting years for this! I just ordered my copy from the Warner Archive! Can't wait to see it!

When I looked at the WB site to check out this week's new listings, there was
a notice that said that the Clint Walker autographed copies have sold out.

Of course, that should not deter anyone from ordering YK, because the film is such a treat.

reply

Yes, the autographed copies sold out in a week. Anyone who is interested can still purchase an autographed copy directly from Clint Walker himself on his own website, for a few dollars more than the 300 Warner Archive copies. His copies are also from the Warner Archive.

Not only good news, but the New York Times has reviewed the set and this film along with some others is now considered worthy of being in any good film collection. Look up their words.

A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep.

Know this.Clint Walker is the actor who has been copied by hundreds
but equalled by none.He began the Western actor personification of the Man.
The rest of them are children.

I saw Yellowstone Kelly as a kid, prolly my first movie at 9 years old. The movie is on now on TCM. The Technicolor is as good now as it ever was. Cling Walker never changes. He was born in 1927 which makes him 90. Wow, he is great!Dunno about the DVD, ill check it to see if its available.

reply

It's probably not prolly. And Clint is 87, not 90.

reply

I got my copy on DVD ... pretty good picture. Glad to finally see it released on DVD.
