harry belafontes character quite remarkable

i was rather impressed with the talents of harry belafontes character (ralph- seemed he could do anything and made the other chap benson seem quite useless in comparrison. ralph could hook up a radio system to contact other people, i think he did quite alot of electrical work, he did a rather good job of cutting sarahs hair, he saved the life of benson when he was not well, he cooked sarah a fine meal at the restaurant and was that his voice on the record whilst he was serving her meal?

How did he record his voice onto the record?

"I hate censor people, I want to kill all those people" - Dario Argento.

Uh...he wouldn't have. But it may have really (as in real life) been his voice as he (Harry Belafonte) was mainly a singer.

What about the part at the end of the record when you hear him say "happy birthday sarah"?

reply

Ralph absolutely recorded the record. He tells Sarah that he sings on it, plays accompanying guitar on it, and that it is him applauding at the end of it, just in case no one else applauds.

As for how he recorded it, they do not show us. However throughout the film he is shown as a handy/tech-savvy guy, so it's not a huge stretch to imagine he stumbled upon some sort of way to do it in his travels.

The lone survivor is never a talentless hack who knows nothing of electronics or machinery. Ralph made the apocalypse quit comfy.
