Odd movie

I didn't really enjoy it. It had some great characters in it, but Mitchum in the Mexican outfits looked odd. And those hats!
I remember Julie London, as a kid in the 50's. She looked so glamorous. How things change - I didn't find her attractive at all in this movie. Did I change with age? Has 'beauty' changed that much? I did appreciate that this was more appropriate for the times, tho I can't imagine many women even this attractive were found out west. This was definitely the 50's perspective of western beauty.
(now Jean Simmons, in Big Country, I could believe in. Wow, she was stunning and believable!)
(and as I write this, there is a banner for a new Bonnie and Clyde, with predictably good looking stars... I guess things never change)
