Spoiler....I need to know how it ended

I taped the movie without the use of a programming guide and didn't let it tape long enough. So, I missed the ending. My tape ends just as Johnny has gone to see his Dorothy McQuire, after he has told Blaisedell to leave town by the next morning. I would appreciate someone sharing the ending because there's no telling when it will be broadcast again.

next morning they meet up in the street, Blaisedell draws faster, but than he throws his "golden guns" in the dirt, takes a horse and rides out of town. THE END :D

.... rides out of town leaving the blond behind. I wonder why. Shame.

In the movie, Blaisdell's departure sans Jessie is sort of set up in the scene between them the night before his showdown with Gannon.

In the book (which is much more complex), Tom Morgan has a scene in which he states that he is the only one who sees and values Blaisdell as an individual, not as a symbol, a wish-fulfillment figure, or a lawman. Morgan states that Jessie sees Blaisdell as the embodiment of her knight-in-shining-armor hero fantasies, but not as a real flesh-and-blood man. It's possible Blaisdell realized this.

I have seen this movie many times and there are lots of Wyatt Earp references throughout the movie. Obviously Henry Fonda who played Wyatt in "My Darling Clementine" was one, so was Anthony Quinn as Morgan; since Morgan was also the name of one of Wyatt's brothers. It is interesting that the writter of the book chose the name of Jessie for the woman that Blaisdell ( Henry Fonda); wants to give up his guns for. That name, is not far removed from Josie Marcus. It's also significant he threw his guns away at the end ( as opposed to simply riding out of town). That makes you think that sooner or later, Blaisdell will send for Jessie and she will leave he town for him:

I just watched Warlock again and noticed that Jessie's last name is Michaels. Not only the same initials as Josie Marcus who Wyatt Earp married, but the last letters of the first and last names of both women were the same. E & S. Still another clue that Blaisdell and Jessie end up together.

Golly, no stretch there!
