Great Steam Train Footage

One aspect of this film was the fantastic and nostalgic colour Railway footage particularly around Edinburgh (Waverley Station) and on the Forth Rail Bridge.
Oh, the A4 Streamliner Loco's Chime Whistle when leaving Edinburgh and again as she pulled away again on the Forth Bridge after her unscheduled stop. It sent a shiver down my spine!

Having looked at this film carefully on DVD, I think two Class A4 locos are featured. When the loco first appears it seems to be 60012 'Commonwealth of Australia', which the long name plate seems to confirm. When it leaves Edinburgh after Hannay has mingled with the wedding guests, it appears to be 60017 'Silver Fox', and the shorter name plate, although unreadable, seems to confirm this. The final appearence sees it back as the 60012 loco.

The engine is "Merlin" not "Silver Fox".
