The 39 Steps and North By Northwest

The 39 Steps, Saboteur, and North By Northwest are 3 Hitchcock films that all share the same basic plot line. Is it any coincidence that The 39 Steps would come out as a remake the same year as Hitchcock's masterpiece North By Northwest premiered?

Strangely enough I think that some of the music in this is a little reminiscent of that in 'North By Northwest.' This is a reasonable remake of Hitchcock's movie.
