I've been a good girl, I have!!!

Sandy's scene reminds me of Natalie Wood's scene with her mother in "Splendor in the Grass".

And, come to think of it, there is an analogous scene in 1965's "A Rage To Live". The mom played by Carmen Matthews confronts her daughter, played by Suzanne Pleshette, about her teenage sex life. Suzanne gets pretty shook up trying to deny everything. Just like Deenie and Molly.

Now days you just assume your kids are having sex in high school.

Good point, and My Fair Lady was supposed to be like 1890.

Now days, girls don't want to be good or even thought of as good. So have we come a long way baby? Or not.
