Sebastian's fate awaiting Michael Jackson

One can only hope!

It's Cosmo...He's Chinese.

Unless I missed something, Sebastian was gay, not a pedophile. Major difference there. Michael on the other hand, what a mess.

reply

You missed something. Sebastian uses Liz Taylor to pick up BOYS, not MEN. Why do you think most of the gang that kills him is made up of the exploited boys?

It's Cosmo...He's Chinese.

I think this film should be remade, starring RUSH LIMBAUGH as Sebastian (and what a joy 'twould be, to see him suffer the same fate... A girl CAN dream after all!)

I saw only bits of this movie on TV tonight, so I missed that part, and missed the ending. OK, so what happened to Sebastian exactly? And did they indicate the age of the boys? In today's lingo, gay men in their 20s and 30s refer to themselves as boys.

reply

No, for the flashbacks, the boys he was after looked barely as early teenagers.

reply

I cannot think of a better or more tragic example of life imitating art.

It actually reminded me of a Jackson music video to watch Sebastian running down the street in his tailored suit while being pursed by an oddly musical band of angry children. The allegory is too funny if not too sick.

reply

Yeah! With a crazed Maculay Culkin leading the mob and Emmanuel Lewis and Rickey Schroeder bringing up the rear.

reply

"Did they indicate the age of the boys?"

Wasn`t it mentioned in the dialogue somewhere that they were somewhere "between boys and men"? Not entirely sure though.

He's in some Arabic country now, isn't he? Maybe he gets blown up.

reply

Oh my God! I was watching a bit of SLS on TCM last night and a thought popped into my head: "Gee Mikey better watch it or one day he may end up like poor Sebastian!" and then I got this laughing jag because its horrible and funny at the same time.

HOW PROPHETIC!

It was proven by now that all those stories about Michael being gay or a pedophile were false. Jordan Chandler admitted that he lied because his father forced him too, and the 2005 trial, whose court transcripts can be read online, proved there was no shred of evidence that he never molested Gavin Arvizo.
Michael never run away from the law, like Roman Polanski, because he knew he was innocent, unlike Polanski.
And let me inform or remind you that David Bowie slept with 14 year olds in the 80s and no one cared about it, not the law nor the press or the public. Is that right?!

reply

I hope the stories were false, but as any lawyer will tell you, the evidence is inconclusive.

You can't prove a negative, after all.

reply

The allegations were false. The Arvizo family tried to take money from Jay Leno and Chris Rock too. Michael was an easy target and they contacted the same lawyer that got Evan Chandler his $20 mil, but Michael would not fall for that again and wanted to go to court to have a trial.
Michael was the most sued person in the industry. People accused him that they stole songs from them (like Billie Jean), was sued by people claiming that he was their father or husband and other crazy things like that. Joe Jackson called him once, on father's day!, and asked him for $500.000.
Many closed friends said about Michael that he attracted all sorts of vutures and shady characters. He was an easy target.
Remember the Fatty Arbuckle trial? He was another man ruined by false accusations.

reply

Then he should have dealt with the Evan Chandler allegations in court. At best, it was extremely naive of him to think that paying the family off would end his troubles. Paying hush money never looks good -- and just encourages more accusers to come out of the woodwork.
