Blu-ray review for "Sleeping Beauty"

The colorful, charming and sometimes wicked story comes out on Blu-ray in grand style. This super widescreen version mirrors the original release in 1959 without any loss from side to side. What was missing due to the shortened former video edition now has been restored, showing all the splendor of the castle, the woods and the final battle between Prince Phillip and the dragon.

Special features include some featurettes, deleted scenes, and all the DVD bonus material. Click through for our full review.

Note that this is not the first time Sleeping beauty has been on Blu Ray. The Platinum edition from 6 years back has the same transfer and an extra disc of special features. For those who have the platinum edition, they can stick with that and they'll be just fine. I'm just glad 101 Dalmatians is next. That's the one I've been waiting for.

Exactly. Where was that reviewer when the ''Platinum Edition'' was released?. And what ''Trailer'' are they talking about?. The Theatrical Trailer(s), along with almost everything else, are nowhere to be found on this ''Diamond Edition''. The new additions are no substitute for what's missing, though a few (but not enough) of the better previous ones have been retained I bought it because I'm a ''completist'', but, anyone who cares about special features should try and snag the ''Platinum Edition''.
