There was thread about this previously but the thread seemed to die down so I thought I would post a new thread. Do you think Aurora is boring? The film was more about the fairies than it was about Aurora. She didn't do a whole lot but I don't think she is as boring as people say she is.

If I saw a girl getting *various* *wild* animals to work together to dance with her on call I doubt I would ever see her as boring.
Aurora isn't given as much screen time (only ~18minutes) or talk time (only ~18lines) as the other princesses so it's not really fair to call her boring because of that.
She as a princess is not boring. Charming, kind, marvelous dancer. However, one has to admit she's not a dynamic protagonist who faces her opponent. I think there are lots of similar princesses, girl characters in folklore who fit this model. Think about it. knowing what we do about gender roles in history, it's not at all astonishing to see a passive female lead. The more dynamic females of the Disney Renaissance are an attempt to address the lack of powerful girl role models.

shareAs people here have already mentioned. She doesnt get much screen time. Had she I think this isnt even much of an issue.
Compare her to Snow White who also falls alseep. Snow White is actually in the majority of the movie and gets more lines. So we get to relate to her more because we spend more time with her.
I always say that if we have had spent more time wifh Aurora and Phillip instead of he stupid fairies. Sleeping Beauty would have been a much better film.
15 minutes in her movie yeah shes boring this movie is about the curse and the hugely brillant maleficent
shareI didn't find her docile nature actually boring. I can remember coming across her name of Briar Rose somewhere before as a story title if I remember rightly.

Everyone is talking about her. The faries goal is to protect her and give her birthday presents, Maleficents goal is to kill her, Diablo and her goons have to find her, Philip wants to mary her, stephan is waiting for her etc.
Like every character in this movie is obsessed with her. AuroraAuroraAURORAA!
Well exept for the guy who gets drunk.
I don't think she is boring.
And out of all the disney princesses she has one of the best singing voices imo.
The only thing about her I find boring is her talking about the prince in her dreams. It was allready a cliche.
But I guess she's a dreamer, and she clearly has no other friends than the animals.
I too act like a fool when I'm alone at home with my cat and dog....
